Gabisile Nkosi
Her art is inspired by the daily work of rural and urban African women and she hopes to develop her unique style of woodcuts to depict women in Africa in a variety of ways. Born: 1974 Umlazi, Durban
Her art teacher at high school inspired Gabisile. Pat Khosa also influenced her from the Durban Art Gallery. Gabisile has done many workshops and plenty of exhibitions around South Africa and Internationally.
Awards: 1991: BMW "Collecting Art" First prize 1993: "Most promising artist of the year" presented by school inspector Jannie Van Heerden
